Spring 2015 TinyTots Collection

I love wearing skirts and so do my girls. I made these skirts cute enough to be girly but also to be able to play in. A cute pair of playground shorts underneath and the girls are ready for the jungle gym. If it's still cold out, leggings are wonderful. Skirts are on sale at Immeindustries.com

Christmas Caramels

Amish Caramel
2 c. white sugar
2 c. heavy cream
1 3/4 c. corn syrup
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring syrup, sugar, butter, and some of the cream to a boil.
Keep stirring...
Add the rest of the cream slow so it continues to boil.
Stir some more...
Boil until it reaches 236-240 degrees it will be a beautiful brown color.
*Put a little dollop into cold water and check the texture.  If it's not thick enough keep stirring.

Looking for ideas.

I have done a few of these events and with all of them it has been hard to display the skirts.  I have a rack and hang them for people to look.  The problem is they are all different.  I think it's hard to shop like that.  There is real place top try on what you think might be cute.  So people just move on. I need to get on all the social sites and see how I can get sales that way. Send me any suggestions! I'm also going to make more for girls. As a mom I never shop for myself. Even when I have a gift card. The kids always need something. Immeindustries.com

Vendor event at PS32

The same night as parent teacher conferences there is going to be Vendor Night at PS32 in Staten Island. It starts at 4:30 and ends 7pm.  Imme Industries will be selling skirts by FeleciaMaria and knitted items made by Linda. This will be the first look at FeleciaMaria's new TinyTots Collection. We hope to see some familiar faces come through.  If this is successful there will be more vendor nights in the future. Check out what you will see at Vendor Night here immeindustries.com

Staten Island Adventures

The family has moved from the long lived and loved Brooklyn to the borough of Staten Island and now Brooklyn is a place to visit. It's super fun when the kiddos are excited and scream Verrazano Bridge 15 times before and as we cross the waters between the two boroughs.

I really want to have a photo shoot on the Staten Island Ferry for my spring collection to introduce everyone to the beloved borough and clothes.

The New Exploration

The last two solo performances have been improvised. With almost negative time to rehearse I spent a couple hours at night in my living room dodging toys and furniture to dance. I listened to Lana Del Ray over and over and over to memorize the music. It was in my head and in my body. I often woke up still singing it in my head. I was really excited to see what would happen when I had more space and less stuff in my way. The performance was at The Muse for the MuseIam monthly showcase. It was an amazing showcase experience. I was the only contemporary dancer to perform. There was burlesque, silks, a hammock, hula-hoop and Chinese pole. The crowd was super supportive. I received wonderful feedback as well as generous compliments after the show. The next show is May 30th. Go if you can or even submit to be in the show. My next venture it to try to sing while I perform. Lets see if I can get the nerves out and the voice open.  Check out video here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hcmo36j_sI

Looking for Love and Growing Up

The residency began October 3rd with the instillation of my 2 1/2 year olds paintings. Most artists I know want to get to a place in there work that is free of personal judgement so the creativity can flow freely. I see that in my daughters paintings. That is why in incorporated her into the residency. It also helped me to find what the residency and performance is about.

I have a list of songs that bring up memories and stir up emotions with in me. I have taken some of these songs and made a soundtrack to my life that begins when I began dancing as a teenager. It goes though love and relationships into independence and freedom. In the end I find true love. I will be dancing surrounded by my daughters paintings. October 22 at 8pm at Everbrite Mercantile Co.
